De Tempel

'De Tempel' is a former bank building located in the Zeeheldenkwartier, built in 1915, designed by architect F.A. Bodde.  The style is that of the 'Um 1800 Bewegung'.

The facade is decorated with sculptures. Inside are wooden and marbel panelling. There is a large skylight with leaded glass which gives the hall on the first floor natural daylight.

The marble hall with the barred teller counters are reminiscent of the bank and the former bank vault.
